Selection Guide

Virgin Resin / Low Fill

HSS or D2 blades provide cost-effective performance for unfilled polyolefins, PET, and nylons.

Glass or Mineral Filled

Tungsten carbide required for glass content above 10%. Provides 3-5x longer blade life over HSS.

Recycled Feedstock

Use TC blades with contamination-resistant geometry. Pre-screen feedstock to remove metal tramp.

Matching to Die Plate

Blade and die plate must be replaced together for optimal face contact. Contact us for matched sets.

Frequently Asked Questions

Yes. We manufacture blades for all standard Gala rotor configurations. Provide your model number for confirmation.
Replace blades when pellet quality degrades (tails, fines, irregular shapes) or when pressure increases beyond normal range. Do not run to failure.
Not always, but blade and die plate wear together. For best results, lap the die plate surface when installing new blades.
Yes for certain grades. Contact us with blade condition and geometry for resharpening evaluation.
